Very sad news. It is no wonder if not Sri Lankans pathetically risks their life to leave this island which is indeed seems to be a miracle to a lucky few. The unblown truth is that a year ago I could buy a half bread and a potato curry for 60 rs, today in the same shop it is 100rs, - I am daily traveling from Mount to Bamba, it has risen from 12 to 16. The youths who have no good jobs to afford for a fair standard life against the ruthless competition prevails for everything, will risk their every thing to leave this miracle island in search of better life. As a trapped youth, You cant afford too many things out. Want to be a driver, daily you have to bribe the police, If you are a small trader you have to pay ransoms to every goon at each nook, even a government teaching job is only for sale, and never selected through acceptable channels. However it really Surprises the comparative immediate humane response from Australian government to attend the victim site in rescue, 2600 kilometer away from their main land.
